Steel Seals : Spiral Wound Gaskets

Spiral Wound Gaskets consist of a V-Shaped or Chevron metal strip spirally wound in combination with a soft filler material. The metal strip provides outstanding recovery, while the flexible filler guarantees excellent sealing.  Depending on the application  the spiral wound can be specified with or without Inner Rings and Outer rings in various materials including, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Hastalloy and SAF.  Fillers can include Graphite, PTFE and Compressed Fibre. Spiral Wound - Style CG Style CG windings and construction is similar to the Style R however it has a solid Outer (centering) ring securely fitted. Spiral Wound - Style R Style R is the basic sealing element which is constructed with a V-Shaped (or Chevron) metal strip and a soft inlay filler strip.
