All of Industrial Gaskets Ring Type Joint - RTJ Gaskets are manufacutred to and fully compliant with the ASME B 16.20 standard and the API Spec 6A.  Material Certifications can be supplied with orders.

RTJ - PTFE Coated

PTFE Coating is available for all standard RTJ sizes. The rings are manufactured according to ASME B16.20, API Std 6a.

Industrial Gaskets stocks an extensive range of Ring Type Joint - RTJ gaskets. Most standard sizes of RTJ Ring Type Joints can be supplied with PTFE Coating. A  PTFE Coating is used to eliminate gasket or flange erosion and is predominately used in aggressive media applications. PTFE Coating is typically used on R - Octagonal or R - Oval style RTJ's - Ring Joint Gaskets. They are available in a range of materials including 316 Stainless Steel, Soft Iron, Carbon Steel, Low Mild Steel, F5 and Super Duplex. RTJ - PTFE Insert

PTFE Inserts are available for all standard RTJ sizes. The rings are manufactured according to ASME B16.20, API Std 6a.

Industrial Gaskets stocks an extensive range of Ring Type Joint - RTJ gaskets. Most standard sizes of RTJ Ring Type Joints can be supplied with PTFE inserts. A  PTFE insert is used in order to reduce turbulent flow and eliminate gasket or flange erosion. The PTFE insert is specially designed so that the self energising performance of the Ring Joint is not impaired. It is located between the inside diamter of the Ring Type Joint and the bore of the flange. On assembly the insert is completely trapped between the make up of the flanges, filling the annular space between the flange bore and gasket. PTFE inserts are typically used on RX or BX style RTJ's - Ring Joint Gaskets, but can also be used on the lower pressure rated R Style. They are available in a range of materials including 316 Stainless Steel, Soft Iron, Carbon Steel, Low Mild Steel, F5 and Super Duplex. Contact our sales representatives for further information.

RTJ - Rubber Coated

Rubber Coating is available for all standard RTJ sizes. The rings are manufactured according to ASME B16.20, API Std 6a.

A Rubber Coated Ring Type Joint - RTJ is totally enclosed in a Nitrile rubber coating.  The material of the Ring Type Joint - RTJ is usually Soft Iron or Low Carbon / Mild Steel. This type of Ring Type Joint or RTJ has three main functions. It is used in pressure or hydro testing to minimise damage to flanges The rubber contact points provide additional seals while protecting the flange surface It provides increased assurance against corrosion, which can occur between conventional Ring Type Joints and the engaged surfaces of the groove. They are available coated in a range of materials including 316 Stainless Steel, Soft Iron, Carbon Steel, Low Mild Steel, F5 and Super Duplex. The Type BX series is designed primarily for special applications involving high pressures up to 20,000 psi. The rings are manufactured according to ASME B16.20, API Std 6a.

The Ring Type Joint - RTJ - Type BX series is designed primarily for special applications involving high pressures up to 20,000 psi. The rings are manufactured according to standards ASME B16.20, API Std 6a. When correctly fitted, the style BX gasket allows virtual surface-to-surface contact of the flange faces, which means that the gasket is fully trapped on both the inner and outer diameters.All BX gaskets incorporate a pressure balance hole to ensure equalization of pressure that may be trapped in the grooves. They are not recommended for re-use. Style BX gaskets are manufactured in accordance with both API 6A and ASME B16.20 size/ratings, all certified to API 6A through EN10204 Type 3.2. RTJ - Type R Octagonal

Style R gaskets are manufactured in accordance with both API 6A and ASME B16.20 size/ratings. Available in both oval and octagonal configurations, both types are interchangeable on modern octagonal type grooved flanges.

RTJ - Type R Oval

Style R - RTJ gaskets are manufactured in accordance with both Australian standards API 6A and ASME B16.20 size/ratings. Available in both oval and octagonal configurations, both types are interchangeable on modern octagonal type grooved flanges.

RTJ - Type RX

RX Series of Ring Type Joints (RTJ) are designed primarily for well-head pressure of 700 bar and beyond. The rings are manufactured according to ASME B16.20, API Std 6a.

The RX is designed to fit the same groove design as a standard Style R, making the joints interchangeable. The modified design uses a pressure-energized effect that improves the efficiency of the seal as the internal pressure of the system increases. The Type SBX series is designed primarily for special applications involving high pressures up to 20,000 psi. The rings are manufactured according to ASME B16.20, API Std 6a.

The Ring Type Joint - RTJ - Type SBX series is dimensionally the same as the standard Type BX Ring Type Joint gasket.  The "S" prefix identifies it as a gasket having intersecting vent holes allowing a pressure less metal to metal initial contact between the gasket and flange groove while made up underwater.
