Vulcanised Fibre - or vulcanite - is a plate material made of compressed cotton fibre paper. It is used as an insulation material and for the manufacture of various implements.
Vulcanised Fibre has excellent mechanical and electrical properties and offers a high tear resistance and tensile strength.
In the thinner sizes, it is flexible and can be bent. In the thicker sizes, it can be shaped with the aid of steam and pressure. The electrical properties are for example a high insulation value.
Standard Sheet Thickness: 0.4mm to 3.2mm thick
Maximum Sheet Size: 1200mm x 2000mm
